Cargill connects producers and users of grain, oilseeds and other agricultural commodities through origination, processing, marketing and distribution capabilities and services. We operate on an integrated global basis to source, process, transport and distribute grain and oilseeds around the world.
Cargill opened its grain and oilseed trading operations in South Africa in 1994. Since then Cargill has established itself as a key player in both domestic trade flow as well as in the import and export markets.
Based in Johannesburg, Cargill offers supply chain solutions and risk management services to both domestic producers and consumers alike. Our producers include farmers in all of the major grain and oilseed producing regions and our consumer customers include some of the main participants in the animal feed industry as well as white maize and wheat millers and oilseed crushers.
It is Cargill’s philosophy to build long term strategic partnerships where true value is created for both sides. Through Cargill’s global network and risk management expertise coupled with our experience in logistics, Cargill has built a solid track record as a being one of the preferred suppliers of agricultural services in the South African grains and oilseeds market.
